Essaouira-Mogador airport is the easiest solution when the flights match your dates. It is located approximately 18 km from the city, which makes arrival very quick: short transfer, easy installation, first ride possible the same day.
Depending on the season, direct flights vary. If you find a good time window, it is the most comfortable option for a short stay or a package. For families and groups, a transfer can be organized to the accommodation to avoid dealing with luggage on site.
From Marrakech: bus, private taxi or car
Many travelers arrive via Marrakech, because there are more flights. The road to Essaouira takes around three hours. The CTM or Supratours bus is reliable and economical for solo travelers. The private taxi becomes more comfortable as soon as you travel in groups, with children or with a boardbag.
Car rental is interesting if you want to explore Sidi Kaouki, Imsouane, Cap Sim or other areas around Essaouira. For a stay focused on the lessons and the central beach, it is not essential: the city is very easy to experience on foot and transfers can be organized.
