Complete beginners
Wing discovery, balance, safety and first runs with a stable board.
Discover the wing, board and first flights with KSE and Seagull Club. You can contact either club: we guide you toward the right time slot, gear and session goal.
Wingfoil feels more direct than kite on the beach, but it still needs a real method so you do not burn out too fast. At KSE, wingfoil is also available, coordinated with Seagull Club for lessons, rental and gear depending on availability. You can write to both clubs: the team will answer with the most logical format for your dates, level and the day's conditions.

Wingfoil is available through KSE, with local coordination with Seagull Club for lessons, rental, storage and gear choice. Depending on the season, level and weather window, we confirm the simplest option for you.
You can contact KSE or Seagull Club directly. In both cases, send your dates, level, approximate weight and goal: discovery, first flights, coaching or rental.
In wingfoil, the wing is held directly in your hands. There are no lines to set up, no partner-assisted launch and less space needed on the beach. It feels more immediate, which is great when you want to discover a wind sport without spending the whole first session on setup.
The real challenge comes with the foil. You need to place your gaze, distribute weight, accept falls and let the board accelerate without forcing it. A student who tries to fly too soon often loses time. We prefer to build control, runs and safety first.
Essaouira bay offers space, a sandy bottom and wind that is often side-shore in season. For beginners, it is more reassuring than a rocky or offshore spot. For progression, runs can be long enough to work on stance, transitions and water-state reading.
The key point is still choosing the right time slot. The wind can become strong in the afternoon, especially in summer. KSE therefore adapts timing, wing size and board type to the real level of the day.
Often comfortable for learning: wind is present without being systematically too strong.
Very good for independent riders, more demanding for first sessions depending on the hour.
Good compromise: wind still active, fewer people and easier-to-read time slots.
A wing that is too big is tiring and puts pressure on you. A wing that is too small forces you to pump constantly and turns the session into a struggle. The board and foil matter just as much: a beginner needs volume, stability and a foil that lifts early without becoming nervous.
Before going into the water, we adjust the setup with you: weight, level, average wind, gusts and session goal. This preparation avoids a lot of frustration and makes progression clearer.
Take a lesson. Free rental comes later, when you can start, return and fall without panic.
A short coaching session can be enough to understand the bay, adjust the gear and correct a precise point.
Rental may be possible after level validation and advice on the day's spot.
The first real breakthrough is not always a long flight. Sometimes it is simply understanding how the wing pulls, how the board accelerates, how to fall without stress and how to come back to the beach with enough energy.
When everything lines up, the foil rises for a few seconds and the feeling is immediate: less noise, less friction, just wind and the board gliding above the water. That is the moment we want to make clean, repeatable and safe.

Send your dates, level, approximate weight and goal: both clubs can help you book the right wingfoil format in Essaouira.
No. Boardsports experience helps, but you can start with wing control, safety and a stable board before chasing first flights.
It depends on level, wind and water confidence. Many students need several sessions to stabilize first flights without skipping steps.
Yes, the lesson includes the necessary gear: wing, board, foil, wetsuit and safety equipment adapted to the day's conditions.
Yes, if your level is independent and gear is available. The request can go through KSE or Seagull Club: we always validate your ability to leave, return and manage safety before free rental.
Spring, summer and early autumn are the most logical periods. For beginners, May, June and September are often more comfortable than very strong midsummer afternoons.
